Notes from the Pastor – October 2020

Fall has arrived, at least according to the calendar. I’m still not sure what “fall” means in Montana, but I look forward to finding out. Amid the fall season, much is happening in the life of Central Christian Church. We continue worshiping together at 10:00 on Sundays, joined by others via Zoom. The Transition Committee and the Executive Committee have been very busy with many of the tasks laid before them. We have an opportunity for five small groups and had 32 people join in those conversations. I was thrilled with the response and deeply touched by many of our discussions.

For me, it is now time for a short break. I am excited to return too California to participate in my son’s wedding. By the time you receive this, I will already be on the road. Even so, I’d like to ask for your prayers for traveling mercies and a safe return to Great Falls. I will be back on October 7th or 8th, depending on travel conditions. As you pray for me, I will continue to hold you in my prayers as well.

My thanks to everyone for your continued vigilance during this pandemic, your voice and vision in our meetings together, and your presence as a faith community as, together, we worship God. May God’s peace be with you. See you in a couple of weeks.
